The good news is we defeated this monstrosity!

My wife and decided to fight this monster. I created the website, and provided branding for the campaign. Below are brand images, volunteers, and photos of the campaign and the park we cherish.

Imagine living near a beautiful protected park. Not just any park but one that has national status. To your horror a Goldman Sachs subsidiary plans to build a 100 megawatt power plant with eleven 100 foot towers from the abyss. They will spew approximately 400 tons of toxic pollutants per year and 50% of it is carbon monoxide.

The power plant sits right next to Mission Trails Regional Park and surrounding communities (its nearest neighbor would be West Hills High School). The noise and pollution will be substantial. The area is not zoned as industrial, yet officials may allow zoning changes to allow approval of this project. Mission Trails Park and all its glory and history will be harmed by the noise, air pollution and visual blight.

Profit-hungry financial and power companies are planning to build more toxic plants and your community may be next. The truth is we have the energy we need – solar is the future, not gas or oil. Germany gets 50% of its power from solar.
