Digital Drawing and Painting – ART 177 • Section 1177
Suitable for beginner or advanced students
- Learn foundational drawing and painting skills plus digital painting simultaneously
- Receive individual support and guidance
- There are approximately 20 students
- Receive large professional quality prints of your assignments
- Understand color and light or gain a greater mastery
- Learn how to paint a portrait, still life, landscape, and a comic (sequential narrative)
- Make digital paintings that incorporate color and design principles to achieve a sense of style, dimension and depth
- Learn how to paint in Photoshop or on your own software/device – no experience needed
- Receive and participate in safe, supportive critiques
- Draw and paint directly on a 24 inch digital screen display – Xencelabs Pen Display 4K UHD
Spring 2025 Registration begins November 12th, 2024. Open Registration begins December 5th, 2024

2025 Spring class sessions are face-to-face at the Grossmont College campus in El Cajon.
The Spring 2025 semester starts February 3 and ends June 2, 2024.
Monday & Wednesday, from 12:30 – 3:35pm.
