Where Did I Leave My Shoes?
24 x 24″ acrylic and mixed media on Bainbridge board #80 | 2024

I was inspired to create an abstract design using synthetic papers I had previously painted with acrylics. With scissors and glue in hand, I began arranging and rearranging the pieces, allowing the composition to emerge organically. I found great joy in the freedom of the process. I’ve long been fascinated by quilts—especially the extraordinary work of the women artists from Gee’s Bend, Alabama. Their artistry and innovation continue to inspire me.
